Non-cooperation movement started, Gandhi advised not use any items those were made in England. Indian boycotted the visit of Prince of Wales.
Taste of Freedom
Gandhi marched a stretch of 165 miles, to Gujarat coast and violated. the salt law, as a token of non-cooperation to British rulers. Although Gandhi was arrested, but people tasted the first salt made in India.
19930
Gandhi begins to fast to end up the racism. Gandhi believed that untouchables were a part of the Hindus. The British wanted separate Hindus, proposing them separate election for the untouchables. The nation responded Gandhi, most of the temple started allowing untouchables
1942
World War II broke out. Indian National Congress wanted to help Britain on the allies side, but only as a free nation.

Sir Stafford Cripps on behalf of Prime Minister Churchill, promised complete freedom after war, Indian leaders could not trust British and did not join the war. Rather they started the “Quit India Movement.”
 Gandhi was arrested. Kasturba accompanied her husband in the jail, but she became very ill and died in her cell on February 22, 1944.
