Let us do some soccer physics. What would be the best angle of inclination that would send the soccer ball the farthest?
Please use the following formulas.
Consider you kicked a ball at 16 meter/sec
Angle of inclination  60  45 30
Vx meter/sec  16 m/s x cosq = 16 x 0.5 = 8 m/s 16 m/s x cosq = 11.312 m/s  16 m x  0.866 = 13.856 m/s
Vy meter/sec
16 m/s x sinq= 16 x 0.866
             = 13.856
16 m/s x sinq = 11.312 m/s 16 m x 0.5   =  8 m/s
Time (sec)  2.8 sec  2.3 sec 1.63
H (meters) 8 x 2.8 = 22.4 m 11.312  x  2.3 = 26.01 m 13.856 x 1.63 = 22.6 m
The best angle of inclination should be 45o, meaning when you kick a soccer ball at an angle of 45o, the ball will travel the farthest. If you kick too high, the ball will stay longer in the air, but will travel a shorter distance because most of the energy you are kicking with will be used up in gaining height.
